    It's OK, but the skyscraper is really far down the left column. If you make it higher you'll get more clicks

    You can probably fit a 250 x 250 ad in your content area, it'll probably be more noticed than the unit on the left.

    move your ads to upper part of your site. using square ads can be an alternative for you.

    off topic: which cms are you using? is it a custom cms or another ? can you pm me pls? :)

    IF I was you:
    Make another round-corner box on the left under the login, and add a link unit (remove the top one).
    move the chat down and add the skyscrapper there. People who chat are usually the ones hooked on it, and will go to it nomatter what. It won't be a problem.
    Add a banner right under google search.
