Need some otpimization tips/help

Hey all, I have been slowly growing my movie review site (located in the recent blog area above) for some time now.
We have gotten on average around 500 to 1200 uniques a day with over 4k page views.
It all depends on the news that day or week. Like yesterday I had 3452 impressions and 19 clicks. That made me 1.80. Now to me that isn't that much, I am not complaining but I know I can do do better.

I would like to stick with text ads the best I can unless its a fairly good idea to have both. I think they blend better with the site. Some companies ads are so off based for my site/content I rather not try something new.

I have a few ads on the site as you can see.

I have a link unit right under the nav bar.
I have a 300x250 square on the top of the sidebar, above the fold.
I also have an rotating ad unit set to automatically display one of the following sized ads somewhere in my posts.
125x125
234x60
200x200
336x280
468x60
Sometimes the above ads break the page due to not a ton of content but for the most part I feel I get okay days. I have had 7 and 10 dollar days with less traffic so I am just confused on where to head from here.

I guess what I am wondering is, am I doing all I can do for the site until traffic increases? I must say i am happy with 1k to 2k unqiues coming in though.

I also have some CPM ads at the bottom of the sidebar that give some cash but maybe 30 or 40 cents a day if that.

Any suggestions?

I am using wordpress's adsense injection plugin.

Any thoughts would be great!

All those numbers make my head spin, it isn't difficult, use mostly 336x280 blocks, use 3 adlink units one above the others, use google search and make sure ALL your adsense is visible above the fold.
Then you'll see earnings.

If you prefer something else, then expect less earnings.

 

Okay will play around with it, anyone else have anything to say or help me out?

 

I have changed some things around, let me know what you think. Some of the news stories looks crowded but the longer reviews look good in my mind.
