Need specific advice about shopping carts...

    Hi everyone,

I've done free trials of several popular shopping carts (shopsite, webasyst, 2 or 3 others) and I've just installed wordpress and the free WP E-commerce plugin.

The WP E-Commerce plugin with the crafty cart theme has by far been the best of all of them, but I ran into a problem with the shipping modules... there are 8 zillion options, weight tables, price tables, and so on... but no way for me to define two fixed shipping options (Standard - 8.95 / Express - 14.95 for example).

It's really too bad because of all of the carts I have looked at, trialed or installed, the Crafty Cart theme for wordpress is the only one that has REALLY matched my product.

I am selling items targeted toward the "hippie" market, so I need an "earthy" design. Most of the templates that come with free (and paid) shopping carts are very high tech and modern looking, and geared more towards electronics, digital downloads, and so on.

    So, here are my questions:

Does anyone know of a shopping cart that is

    1) easy to use (think wordpress, shopsite, webasyst... drag and drop or WYSIWYG interface)

    2) has a fixed shipping option where I can define the name of shipping options and the price

    3) Has a template that is "earthy" or hippie related?

I know this is a long shot, but I thought asking here was better than buying licenses for 20 different shopping carts and trying them all myself.

    Thanks!

    -N

Well, considering that you said you had such a good experience with the WP E-Commerce and the Crafty Cart theme, why not just make two different product selections for each shipping option. That way, your customer can choose the type of shipping they won't without having to go through much hassle. Plus, it saves you the hassle as well because you don't have to fool with configuring different properties.
