Need Tips on Placement & Colors & Blending

Please review my blogs in my signature. I have 1-2 clicks on average with 100 uniques / day. Is that normal ? Please give some tips how to improve my ads.

you most likely could get far more visitors if you would optimze/clean up your code a little

is a lolt for your w3.org validation

then as so many times mentioned on DP forums various threads with exactly same questions
to make your pages more eye/heart-friendly certainly would increase the visitors readiness to actually spend some time on the site - your site background color is far too dark to be pleasant to me.

myself i never would spend a single minute NOR click any of the links or ads
it all is too dull/too dark - far too unfriendly for eyes. on such sites i normally close the window/tab without ever clicking on any links nor ads.

in addition your blog software could be more SEO to get more visitors and more relevant ads as a result of better SEO
more relevant ads=more different ads = more likely clics/$ increase

I have a colorful blog and enjoy a CTR far above 5% - I also use COLOR for ADS ....

2 points that drastically increased my CTR AND $ for the blog

1. i mopved my navigatonbar from right to left PLUS i placed the 160x600 ON TOP of the navigationbar
2. i removed bottom ads and place one ad on top.-center of each post - of course a rectangle ready to accomodate the videos
i.e. I use 336x280 and / or 300x250 as the only top-center / above the fold location.

if I would inherit your blog - I would
move one rectangle unit above the fold - way on top - center
move navigation to left and wide skyscraper top of nav bar
use red colors on ad titles
may bright friendly bg colors and high contrast text colors

have the courage to tryx something totally new and different
copy something that really has been successful on other sites rather than dooing just a little change
