Really, let's hope that badly. And with that, please try to take some kind of financial contribution too, if you can. It can just be $1 too.

Because the reality is, we do need funds to help people. A bunch of volunteers can't do anything if we don't have the funds to offer food.

Collaborating with the most actively working and trust worthy organizations. It includes Pakistan Air Force inspired teams too. Will be personally visiting them today, volunteering, packaging, buying different needed products from your funds, and passing through every step to ensure maximum reach and support to hungry people who may die any minute.

Will do my best to share snap shots too when I'll get back. Hopefully by next 24-30 hours. In the mean time, if you can even donate $1 - That'd help us buy 8 Mineral water bottles, or 8 packaging bags or even enough food to save a person from dying. And believe me, you will get 70 times more than what you've contributed. Helping is always a win-win situation. The good that you do today comes back when you need it the most.

Hope together we can save as many people as possible, after all its a human life. Just imagine how it'd feel to die from hunger? even just $1 can work miracles, if everyone contributes. And If you can afford, the more you do the better.

Its not a bump message, no, but yesterday night my heart was crying as I see the people in trouble and as am living here too.

So the only way I could think of sharing with you the sentiments was to make a presentation about this flood disaster, please check here http://vimeo.com/14315087 -

Hope it can build trust and we can start to help, as much as we can --- As always, I believe that $1 can save someones life too so please participate.

Pictures culled from news agencies and compiled in a video do not build trust.

I understand, that is why am posting my own pics while doing relief efforts. With that, the interviews too but unfortunately the language is different.

Have bought 50 big bag packs, taken the pictures too. Will be using them with volunteers to pack food items and collaborating with more such individuals to help and prove trust. Because as an individual, it is hard to give attention everywhere. And satisfying the donaters that money is used at correct place is also important.

Am positive that it will work because the intentions are clear, positive and great. So will keep you guys updated. Take care.

    Hey,

You must be wondering why am I bumping this old thread. Well, for a reason, and its so important that if I don't do it right now, some people may die every hour.

Unfortunately, this week has been extremely bad for Pakistan. The rain has hit us hard and it has effected 5.6 Million people. Leaving them without shelter, food and even decent clothes. Yes, MANY lost their homes due to very heavy rainfall.

Last year, we faced a frightening flood disaster and barely managed to come out of it in these months. We took an initiative last year, as a group of friends, to handle the challenge and save the humans who were literally dying! We managed to get donations (thank you) and I personally visited places and helped them with my very own hands. At least, to the places we could possibly reach.

Today, this disaster has ruined lives of many people. Sindh, part of Pakistan, is the most affected place. So we just can’t sit and watch people dying! We need more volunteers and more donations.

This year, we are working with Yakja (Yakja means United) where we talk about our goals, the donations we’ve received and our progress. So we can do a better job together. How much money do we need and what do we plan to do? Thank you for asking me!

Yakja’s goal is to provide food, shelter, medicine to 500 families for a month. To support one family, it only costs $57 – We will provide them food, shelter (tent) and medicines for a month (20-25 days)

If you can support even one family, please do it. Yes, only $57. For easy transfers, you can send money to Paypal at

Please do not mention that its donation in comments or anywhere else, when you pay via Paypal. Otherwise, they will block my account. Hope you understand that its a sudden disaster and we don’t have other easy ways to get money quickly for starting our relief activities. For those of you who live in Pakistan, please contact me for local donation Bank account numbers.

A very special thanks to mcfox, he supported me with the flood relief campaign last year. He actually did donate and every thing counts! Thank you friend.

The only intention behind sharing videos and photos is sharing a proof (you can see them in my other thread posts). A proof that yes, we did a campaign and helped people from our pockets and by donations as well. You can also see Yakja’s 2010 relief campaign at http://yakja.wordpress.com/

If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll answer it for you right away. Thank you very much. Your contribution means a lot to us.

    Looking for donations good people!
