    The title may be a bit confusing but here's the deal: I want to create a website about social media (FAILs, Tattoo's, Crackheads etc.) and since there are so many things to post, should I create a network of blogs? What's the best way to try to earn a higher income in this situation?

    I would just try to make one blog really successful, and then move on from there once you know that it will be successful. You don't want to have multiple blogs that you are losing money on.

    I would also advise you concentrate your efforts on one blog. Otherwise, you will need to hire a team of professionals to start and support a network of blogs and invest a lot of money.
