new adsense user needing advice

Hello,

I have recently added adsense to my site as well as expanded the service area it covers. The problem Im having is that the adsense is not reading each state and displaying only that ads for the limited areas we used to serve.

My question is, how do I make sure the ads are related. If I have a page devoted to dance studios in Florida, I don't want it displaying dance studios in NY.

Id appreciate any help/advice you can give and sorry for being such a newb

 

If vistor locate in New York, he will see Ads from New York no matter it is devoted to dance studios in Florida or china....
google deliver Ads accroding vistor's location

 

a person sees the ads that are related to his location or the content around the site.

 

ohhh! that would explain why I keep seeing the same ads. heh

alright, next question..
is there anything I should change to make sure the ads are topic related? I have a dance news page, and Im getting the Catholic News ads.. is there a way to prevent this from happening?

 

Also, so that would mean that I can't see all the ads that are displayed. correct?

How do I make sure that inappropriate ads aren't being displayed? If I have a page devoted to the dance Swing.. how do I make sure sites for "swingers" don't come up, especially if I can't see what my visitors are seeing?

 

i dont think you can do that with adsense. I remember on my site i had redz written alot on it and my google ads always showed redz paintballing sites and i couldnt control it, unless i would take all the redz off and put diffrent keywords that the google ads picked up.

 

hmm wonder why they don't have ad ratings like movies so you can select, G, PG, PG -13, R, or X allowed site ads to be displayed, or do they and I missed it?
