    hey guys,

I just picked up a new client, and they want an online fashion store for the currently offline store.

I have never done e-commerce before, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips on where to start.

Is it best to go with a free script? or a paid one? or one from scratch?

here is some sites I like, and would like to do something similar....

http://www.indulgefashion.com.au/ - (warning lingerie store, so might be NSFW

    http://www.bluefly.com/

    http://efashionhouse.com/

    http://www.stylehunter.com.au/

any help would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks
    tom

I like OScommerce. You can find fully loaded OScommerce sites or you can install the contributions yourself.

osCommerce is good for free scripts but if you want to install a contribution you must know what you're doing! I'm using file comparison software like WinMerge (free) to install or fix osCommerce contribs.

You should try Joomla using VirtueMart ext. as well, it can be better maintained than osc.

    Just my 2 cents
