    Hi everyone
I really want to get into designing my own logos, business cards etc.
Can anyone suggest a really good program that is easy to use (learn) and not too expensive?
You can probably see in my profile that I have asked alot of people to design me some logos. I have alot of work that comes in and I guess I would like to do at least some of it myself. I do have a creative side I just dont know how to use these programs.
I have Adobe photoshop and all I can shrink & fatten images. :)
    Please help.

    Thanks

    Photoshop is all you need.
Lots of people use Illustrator for logo work, but you can do pretty much everything in Photoshop that you can do in Illustrator.

There's a huge number of Photoshop tuturials online, so next time you need something done - just research how to do it, and do it yourself - it's a good way to learn :)

I use Photoshop CS2 for pretty much everything. If you need some tutorials to help get beyond resizing images, check out youtube.com and search for photoshop tutorials.

If you have resizing images down, you should start on fonts. One way is to just create word (your name for example). Double click on that layer. A window should pop up which gives u all types of effects. Drop shadows, bevels etc. etc. Play with those for a little bit.

Next, open up an image with something like a car. checkout the youtube tutorials for extracting an image. Learn out to cut the car out of the background.

That should keep you busy for a little bit :)

The best software for designing is photoshop but it is a bit pricey.
