Not OK. I want to know why you think we should submit. If the links will literally be the only content I personally doubt the value of this one.

I know it's free and we don't have to but what are this directory's USPs?

Why don't you just copy the database from freshdir?

I really don't see the point. Maybe you'd like to convince me and others.

Every directory has to start somewhere. I started at zero at one point too if he keeps it free for a long while the categories will fill up.

 

But you made the effort of adding value. Even if it's only perceived value, your TOS, About Us, Special Offer etc. make a difference.

The proposed directory is definitely not set up for actual traffic else it would have more features to please the visitor. So the only value left is link popularity. But your one link vote will be split with dozens of others. The directory won't ever rank since it has no unique content, the URL isn't optimized and the title is a bit strange so the diluted vote isn't a quality vote.

The owner has another directory which is a general one as well so it seems this is one for the sake of having another one - for the submission service perhaps.

Anyway I don't care what the plans are with this directory nor do I care about the motives of those submitting. I just don't see the point and was hoping to be convinced otherwise.

I agree there is a lot he could do to improve it but let's not be so critical.............. it's FREE.

I list a few of my sites in every directory that I can including free and paid. Every little bit helps.
