new to adsense, ads not showing up

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by krebs, Jun 2, 2009.

    Hello,

I am new to adsense and web design. I have been an adsense member for a week or so, and even uploaded an ad on page one of my site. When I preview the site in dreamweaver, the ads show up, when I view it online they do not.

Understand it is a work in progress, but the places I put the adsense ads are also messing with my webpage formatting. Does it look like that to you as well?

Please let me know how this placement looks, if it works for you. Thanks for your help

I check your website with Internet Explorer and FireFox. None of them loads the ads. IE shows and error: Object expected. When validating with http://validator.w3.org/, I found many errors. My suggestion: Validate your website before. I think that tables lead to confusion and it is a possible reason.

I checked your source code for the site and the ads seem nested incorrectly. I also suggest try using div tags instead of tables...:)

I dont think I was banned. Surely I would have gotten an email if I was.

The tables might be causing confusion? OK then, how do I use div tags? Can you recommend a website to guide me? I make the website with Dreamweaver on my mac.

Do you think it might have something to do with the source code bunching together when uploaded? In DW it looks correct, online it looks like one block of text.

    Thanks for your help.

I see it looks as if it is one line, but in Dreamweaver it shows up as it should. I am not certain why this happens.
What do you mean, "correct it where you have uploaded your files"?

Thank you for your help, I have not found anyone else who could figure it out.

Lot of hosting sites do this, when we upload the files, all the coding is scattered on single line so ads can't be shown cause they are written in javascrtipt that requires one command on a single line.
