    Yes .. you are wasting your time.

    For the link from the message board to be worth anything the board will need some backlinks of its own, which means you will have to find them or promote it ... why th ehell not just promote your main website then.

    What about in terms of just traffic and not seo rank. I see other message board spammers for my term getting their message boards high in the rankings. Still not worth it?
