Hi. I've just started adding Adsense Content to the web pages of my free career test to help people with career choice. Could you have a look at it? In particular, two points:
Have I put too many ads on? (index page has three areas)
Should I remove other career guidance sites and just leave employment type advertisements running?

The ads are on three pages:
    www.careersteer.org/
    http://www.careersteer.org/cv.html
    http://www.careersteer.org/links.html

    Cheers,
    Cole

In order to increase the CTR, you should place the leaderboard on top of main content. In that way, you can catch the attention of visitors.

In your adsense account Google provides a basic heat map to show where the best to put your ads. According to the heat map you have basically put your ads in the coldest areas. I bet if you flip yours ads from the bottom right corner to the top left corner you would see a major increase.

Hmm, I think you should change the design. Its too "white". And the ads is too much. Try adding more text. You can put some description from the 'left' menu. You can add some description below the "What does this career test do?" and other

You have to make it a little more eye catchy. Try to design your site if you know how or ask someone to do it for you. That way, you will get much more visitors and your site will look more professional.

I agree it is too white. I would also change the font. New time roman is a print font and there are lot's of studies that say online fonts should be arial or something easier to read online.
