    ha! I got your attention...

But I would really appreciate some serious tips or direction

This is the deal. I've done ok in business and now I'm semi-retired at home. I have few single dictionary word .com domains which I never used and I'm just now learning about the market and web business etc.

So, I have few good domains and about $100k to invest. To maintain my lifestyle I need about $ 30k per month. I either need to build it into recurring income of about $30k per month or find a way to sell it for 7 figures.

What's the best way to go about it? Should I just park them? Develop some kind of service and try to own that keyword on the Internet? Affiliates? Offer email service? Just try and sell them?

I also have few generic occupation domains. Something like "doctors.com" for example. Would profession specific job site be a good way to develop them?

Numbers I can find here on DP are hugely inconsistent. Ads and site sale posts are regularly talking about $ XXX (or more) per day of income and at the same time in other sections of the forum majority finds few $ xxxx monthly income goal as unrealistic or extremely hard to achieve.

Where can I find more reliable figures about income from domains trading, domains parking, web business? Can I somewhere buy some proper industry analysis research reports?

Is $ 30k per month possible to achieve considering that my domains are NOT related to any of: gambling, porn, medicines, handbags, watches or anything else that seems to be big on the Internet.

    Any tips appreciated.

P.S. For now I'm just researching. I'm not yet buying or selling anything and I'm not looking for partnerships.

I already found DNForum as well. I'm just lurking there for now. I'm just not sure that it's worth paying few hundred $ for a membership there. Is there any difference between DP and DNforum members?

Thanks for the other link. That helps.

If you are holding a single word .com, then bank will happily do anything for you to have you as their esteemed customer ( ofcourse first you have to sell that domain for 6 or 7 figure mark).........

and regarding your 100k cash, try buying revenue generating domains Or those domains in secondary market which holds future potential........Or you can develop site with expert help........Its my opinion only.....:)

if, as you say you have a professional related domain name, id build up a community for that profession, then sell advertising for that site to people who want to contact your community.....a forum / useful links page etc., not the full blown myspace/bebo equivalent for that profession.

Congratulations sounds like with your current assets and the right guidance you are actually able the cash in quite well without much work.

Single word (dictionary) are quite valuable virtual real estates on their own.

thanks for all the welcomes and tips. I love the atmosphere here.

w3bmaster, what can I say? I'm terribly lazy. In fact, I'd love to be rich like Carlos Slim Helu, sexy like Pierce Brosnan and feared like Cro Cop and all that without getting up from a couch except to have sex with Angelina Jolie. But I realize it's not possible so I'll be happy with getting just a million or few from my office chair :)
