News Aggregatation Site

    I am thinking of creating a news aggregation site for a specific niche (like investing/finance). Using RSS feeds, it would pull news for that niche automatically from other news sites and sort it neatly on the page.

    What is the best way of monetizing such a site? I've been told that Google will not allow Adsense on these sites since the content is not original (automatically generated links).

    Can these sites be successful? If I could make a few bucks a week off it, I'd be happy.

    You could sell stuff on it. Integrate product sales into the news ticker basically. I don't think you will make very much, but it could be fun.

    I haven't thought of these kind of things thinking that Google wants only fresh and quality content so a blog would be good for me.
