No ads on homepage

I recently built a site and immediately got great ads, as usual, on all the pages - except the homepage. It took a month for an ad to show up. Is this a new policy of Google's and has anyone else had this problem?

My most recent site launch got good AdSense results on the homepage within a couple of days.

At first I got all the ads on index page without a problem. They were there, in the skyscraper, perfectly displayed, all five, just few days after putting them up. Then, after 2 months, I added another block of ads and after FTP the new page few times (to see the colors), it started displaying only one ad instead of five. After about 2 weeks it started showing 1, 2, 3 and at one point 5 ads. Then a 2 or 3, and now 2 again. I wrote Goole about it two times but they said they can see it ok. I viewd my page on different computers - same thing, so it is not cookies or IE cache. Since this started happening my revenue from index page dropped by 400-600%. What a bummer... I left it as is for now, and I'll see what happens...

Do you have enough contents on your homepage? Adsense is pretty much based on your contents.

I noticed that the ads delivered to the other pages were directly targetted to the keyword in the html extension (file name). "Index" doesn't give enough info, so maybe that's how Google delivers the ads until they get to spidering the page. In any case, time seems to take care of the problem.

Oh, and it's not content. When I copied the page, renamed it and loaded it up, there were ads immediately.
