No ordinary problem with Facebook

I’ve recently faced a quite extraordinary problem with Facebook. I will explain the situation step by step. It will be easier to understand.

We registered a Facebook account to create a business page for our website UniqueRewards.com. Then we created the business page under the name "UniqueRewards" and Facebook gave the link http://www.facebook.com/pages/UniqueRewards/170391473003108 to our page.

But we want to have a different url, this one: http://www.facebook.com/uniquerewards. In order to do that, according to the information from the "Facebook Help Center"(http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=15073) we've got 25 people who like our page.

But when we tried to change our page name, it appeared that we had already used the name "UniqueRewards" for our personal page. We received this message:
"UniqueRewards is not available" Now, we have changed our user name onto other name, but nevertheless the name "UniqueRewards" is no more available and we cannot have desirable url http://www.facebook.com/uniquerewards

So, could anybody help us or advise how to change http://www.facebook.com/pages/UniqueRewards/170391473003108 into http://www.facebook.com/uniquerewards?

 

somebody else already take the id? seems not much can do

 

The only reason, you are not getting that username with that URL because someone has already taken the this username. However you can try to using some extra alphabets or figures before or after the username

name already occupied by other personal...you have to create the innovative one by using hyphen or anything simple format...

 

Its easy, the name has been taken by another person so just like alodia said, you either add a suffix or use hyphen.

 

Most probably your ID has been used by another user, better you contact Facebook help and support center they cant give you how to change your page name.
