Not getting clicks? How is my ad placement?

    Hey everyone!

I am getting very low clicks on adsense.. We get like 8 a day.. It comes out to like 1-2$ .. Between the backseat of my car and walking out side I can find change that equals that amount lol.. Are we placing our ads in the wrong spot??? Our site just launched like a month ago so we are still building traffic up to our website.. Take a look at how we placed the ads if you dont mind..

Are yahoo ads still in beta mode??

    Thanks..

i would throw a "Half Banner (234x60)" or "Banner (468 x 60)" somewhere in the body instead of just at the header and footer.

I see that your ad banners are quite well placed.

Actually, would be nice if you have a button in the content as well.

I like the design of your site.

Eight clicks per day? May be few or many. Depends on the number of daily unique visitors. Has this site only one month of time? Perhaps is soon to desperate :) and you may need more visits. Remember also that you mustn't have a very high click-trough because can turn on the alarms at Google.

Anyway, I think that the upper banner will be more appealing if you place it under your logo. Many experts says that is an excellent place. At the very top can cause some kind of "ad blindness".

About your second question, the answer is yes. Yahoo YPN is still in beta test.

There is no point in saying you get 8 clicks a day without mentioning the traffic.

    Exactly.

Try focusing on getting more traffic more now. I am sure the number of clicks you get a day would increase.

Move your top ad unit into the actual body of your site. I would recommend between the login area/banner and intro text.

I like the ad placement and the way you've blended the colours with the site design. Try mixing things up for a couple of days and put your banner ads inside your content box, right above "Why Join This Site." If you're getting few clicks already, minor tweaks like that won't hurt your income.

What do you mean by Yahoo beta? are you referring to Publisher Network? Well, that's only available to US citizens only, I'm afraid.
