Old Vs New Generation

I would like to get opinion on this matter. I have come across literature or conversation saying that the new generation(1990 and later) is less likely to be independent or to endure hard work(esp physical) as everything is now easily attainable and are at you fingertips. Please do share your comments and point of view.

P.S: I do not mean to offend anybody. This is just an open discussion

It dependes what part of the world you come from, and the way your parents brought you up.
Also your financial status says a lot about it.

If you come from a poor family, probably you had to work for long hours when you were a kid to help
your parents to feed the family. For example: In India or thirld world countries, kids have to be
strong a very young age to survive the difficult circumstances they are in.

Although there is truth when you say that the younger generation could be less independent (especially in the Developed countries where babyboomers from the 60es and 70es have almost all the cash, newer generations are considered less bound by tradition and norms. Overall I am not sure if that something that good, but only time will show.
