Well first let me tell you the situation.

I live in some brand new condos in Baton Rouge (~ 2 years old). When I moved in no construction was going on, but now for the past 2 months or so it's been non-stop construction.

I was told that the construction company EFFED up on everything so now they're having to go back and re-do everything. Bye the way.... I lease the condo..... Anyway liek I said it's been ~ 2 months since the noise and stuff began and I'm going crazy.

The noise starts at about 8am most days excpet on weekends. I'm a student so I usually didn't wake up (before all this started) until about 10-11am. I mean I've tried coping with it and even bought some ear plugs, but I can't take it no more. They are currently outside of my window banging away and it's driving me nuts.

I'm wondering if there is anything that can be done to my benefit about this?

Is there anyway to get out of lease, i.e. early termination. Also if this is a condo, is there a HOA to complain to at least about the around the clock noise. Try to find out construction timetable and get in good with project manager to get an idea as to when all the racket will finally die down. If it doesn't end soon "sub-lease" to a not so good friend if you can...

It would benefit you to go to bed earlier, and get up just as they begin their racket.
See this as an opportunity to get into a better sleeping habit.
My self telling you this is like: Pot, Kettle, Black; it's 2.45 am here!:D
