If it is related to the current site, use a subdomain. If it is totally unrelated go with a new domain.

    I would go fot 2 .

but this also mean that you will have to deal with 2 sites , maybe different designs , different marketing , different user approach ...

I like the freedom of multiple sites. For example, if you get tired of doing logos you can shut down that site or sell it to someone else without anyone on the other site knowing.

If you're using your website as a selling tool, you'll likely do better with seperate sites.
People often like to hire someone whose core competency is in the task they need accomplished.
With one site you are prominently displaying something different than when they need.

I would go with two domains or you can have a subdomain. If you would consider SEO, this might be advantageous for you since you can exchange links between the two related sites. If you put it into one domain, your niche will be bigger because you had combined the two services. And besides, If you separate the two services, your clients will have the impression that you are a specialist in the particular field (let say, logo designing).

Good luck to your venture, pal!
