I've blended a couple of Adsense units into the following page, and I'm wondering what your advice would be.
Should I stick with the top unit, bottom (after the content)...or leave both?

My income will be primarily from linking direct to appropriate businesses, so I have concerns that it will look too spammy with both Adsense units.

    Your thoughts?

the top one is annoying, because you have to scroll down to see what youre actually looking for. some people might mistake it for just a page full of ads and wont scroll down. you could put a top one on the other half of the page (gray side) and see what that looks like.

    Maybe I'll try that.
It's hard to differentiate between the importance of putting the ads "above the fold", as the heat map suggests....and not having the page look spammy from the word go.
I suppose it also depends on where we anticipate our visitors will be coming from.

That's what I thought....as it is this minute, anyway.
Take away the top ad unit though, and there is plenty of content.
Those are not ads in the middle, it is called Local Search.
You type into search (or go with the default entry) and get news on your subject by way of web, video or blog.
    Nothing MFA about it......LOL

Try the top one as 468*60 or a link unit. Bottom one isn't as important, but might also look better with those sizes. Not only do you have to scroll to reach your content, but the ads take up equal space so it looks way too spammy.
