    You talking about a hosting server? Doesn't really seem cost effective... who's going to pay for electricity and the dedicated Internet connection for the next 10,000 years? :)

    Sure I suppose... I guess someone could price it based on 10,000 years or something... $100 per month for 10,000 years would have a $12,000,000 on-time fee. :)

    why 10,000? I wont live so much and when I die, Ill let them know to shut it down :) Seriously, lets say $10000 for 100 years... (everybody could name 100 years as lifetime) if I get the same machine I pay for now ($250 per month for Dual Xeon with 2TB monthly bandwidth), Im happy... getting -$150/month in a 100 years discount is quite ok... knowing that Ill pay off that $10,000 in 40 months... from my perspective its ok, from their, I dont know, if they are creative enough, Im sure we can come to the price where they (providers) will still earn cash. Offering such service will certanly distinguish some provider from the dedicated hosting crowd, dont you think?
