Oscommerce Images Not Showing

Discussion in 'Content Management' started by internetcheers, Apr 13, 2006.

I have installed oscommerce and it seems to be working well except for the fact that the images for new products I add are not showing.

You can see at *Removed as it has been solved thanks*

look at the first option in the featured menu. It doesnt show in the category page or in the product description page either.

The other images that are there were part of the install.

I've chmod'd it to 755 and tried 777 before anyone suggests that.

When I upload the image in the admin menu it says image has been uploaded successfully and shows it on the preview page. Then when I click confirm it just isn't showing anywhere - not even in the admin menu.

I've checked the images folder and indeed the image is there - so for some reason it seems that it just isn't pulling the image correctly to show.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks All

    You just have <img src="images/"

As the image. It's probably not set correctly in the DB.

Go to your database and enter the picture (file name) in your products table.

internetcheers - if I remember correctly, you'll need to enter this in products table - that is if you are inserting to the MySQL database directly - I dont know where is option is in the admin console.

Aha Thanks guys I got it. Not an ideal solution for adding a few thousand products but it works so I can't grumble :)

Sometimes I wish things would just work tho ......
