Nice page - I don't think there are too many ads.
Brings back some memories, I was at Notts Uni years ago.

Ads are fine, but your cutting your own throat with that Flash intro IMO.

Both - think of any major site on the web - Amazon, Google, BBC, MSN, etc - how many of them have either a flash intro or an [Enter Here] Page? There's good reason why.

Google needs to be able to move from your index, if you give it a flash intro or a big jpg witht he site's name on your not giving it anything.

i thought that would be covered by the "next" link under the intro so people can skip if they want and spiders can follow it?

It does when its not part of the flash - but its still doesn't tell the spider anything about your site on what should be the most important page of the site. Not only that, it puts users off repeat visits to the site (at least those not smart enough to realise they can bookmark homepage.html)

To be honest quite a lot of people have told me to get rid but i like it so ive always said no.

What is the bes way to remove it - just delete it and rename /Homepage.html as index.html

What will happen to any backlinks pointing to it?
Any other issues I should be aware of?

    Thanks
    Jamie
