Just got this in an email:

    Headers show:
    From: PayPal Security Center <acc@paypal.com>
    Reply-To: "Paypal Inc." <acc-overview@paypal.com

I have nothin to update, so why do I need to update my records?

Call PayPal. If they say it's legit then cool. I would bet my 10 year old chihuahua it's fake though.

How can someone fake the headers like that? I've sent them a response as well, I'll have my mom call them on Monday to see what's up.

Hover your mouse over the link it points to and all your questions will be answered. (Warning: do not click the link unless you want to lose your account)

Just send an email to spoof@paypal.com for any of these emails. Paypal never contact you for any account concerns. Only if you have received or sent payments.

See where the link on the email takes you. I bet the domain name is not www.paypal.com/

Sent an email off to them, thanks!

It doesn't link to anything, so I find it weird.

Just delete them. I have got several emails from PAYPAL regarding the security of my PAYPAL account and I don't even have one. When I put my mouse pointer over the link it goes somewhere very strange

It is definitely spam. I have over 40 email addresses I use daily and would you believe I have these fake Paypal emails to every one of them, even though I only have Paypal account for three. Do the math my friends!!

Best never to click on one of those links. But if you do make sure it says HTTPS: urls can be faked also.

They have gotten really clever in faking the email links. Hovering will not necessarily reveal the flaw because they use really long links.

If you get such a letter. Do as this person did and forward it to PayPal. You will usually get a response within a few hours max.
