    I have post a question to answeer.com too but didn`t received any answer so I ask you about this.
    I want to take some pictures with persons from this kind of sites (tagged hi5 facebook and others) and to put them on my site .. I am not sure what is the law in US (I am not from US that is why I ask you for this info).
    I don`t want to have trouble with the law and I just want to know what are the risks ..

    i still dont understand, but if people take pictures off social media all the time, its just what you do with those pictures. It is technically copyrighted automatically on their end

    im not sure what the question of this thread is... but I've seen some people use social networks pictures to link out to their site. Is this a good way to create traffic??

    I don`t talk about traffic or anything.
    I will exemplify what I want to do.
    For example you have a tagged account and I am your friend over there.I take 2 of your photos that you have posted on tagged and publish them on my site without your permission.On my site I will use your photos in any way I want.Will you sue me because I took your photos without your permission?
    What is the law in this case?Can I take photos or not?

    I guess you are right. I dont understand also why they have to do that. I mean whats the point?
