PhotoShop Change size help

    Hi guys. Im sure this is something simple but I have only just started to use PhotoShop and cant work this one out.

    I have used the rectangle tool to draw a shape. I have then done some tweeks added some text and like the design so want to use this for smaller menu bars.

    I have tried to select the object but it wont resize I cant selcet it.

    Please help.

    you should select the layers and then the top toolbar icon the move tool and make sure that on the top menu bar the text "show transform controls" is ticked and then grab the corner and shrink away

    Need to select it in the layers tab, and then press Ctrl+T to resize, keep hold of shift to keep proportions.

    Hi guys.

    Thanks for replying to what most would think a simple question. I have been using Fireworks but want to use PS and find it a lot harder to know what to do at the moment.

    At least for now I can resize things.
