Im photoshopping a friend of mine and I cut and pasted a picture of a rose on her shirt. Problem is: the flower looks totally fake. It is not integrated into the rest of the image but rather looks like it is floating on top of the girl.

    How do I fix this?

    Can't post pic unfortunately. thx.

hmmm... hope you can post the pic.... ^__^ but i guess you should add some feather before cutting the rose so that it wont be obvious that you cut and pasted it. also try adjusting its hue/saturation to color correct it. ^__^

firstly, make sure you've cut in close enough and there are no stray odd coured pixels around the edge. then, after you've softened (feathered) the edges slightly, try changing the blend mode and opacity in the layers palette.

O.k. Here is the pic. It's not high resolution, but so far, I've managed to remove some of the dark'ish spots from under eyes, made into black and white, added the little rose, and I think I managed to screw up her nose a little bit. Now that I notice! :(

I haven't done the rose yet as per the instructions in this thread, But I will soon. thx for the advice guys.
