    I want to GeoTarget my ads and I was wondering if there was any database out there that is cheaper than the $50 one they offer. There is a free 'trial' database from the same company but it is suppost to not be very accurate.

    I have found the free maxmind database to be pretty good to be honest, but for accuracy the paid Maxmind is as good as any and quite reasonably priced.

    Well, I just want to use it to make sure I only show YPN withing the US, would you trust the free database for that? What is it inacurate about, just small countries or just kind of randomly inacurate?

    I am from the UK and so don't target for YPN and I don't know how strict they are - so I couldn't tell you I'm afraid.

    YPN will know of the Maxmind Free database most likely, so I would ask them (email?) if the relevancy is good enough.

    The database is a bit randomly inaccurate, as it is basically just a little out of date, so the IPs that have changed country has changed whether it is fromn the US to UK, or France to China
