Ping Times

    Comcast just went through phase one of a network upgrade and my ping times have gone terribly slow.

    Pinging digitalpoint I'm seeing up to 60ms response times, Google close to 90ms, and comcast.net is a whopping 110ms.

    For a day I was seeing 3000+ second time frames and I was better off on dialup.

    What are you seeing as a ping time for any of these servers? Please specify if you are on comcast or not so I can complain to them. I'm use to seeing ping times sub 30ms for these servers. Strangely, my server hosting www.bkweddings.com seems to be my fastest connection and the only one averaging under 30ms.

    On the bright side, in about two weeks our downstream bandwidth is supposed to increase by 1mb.

    Average times: DP 513 ms, Google 642 ms, Comcast 478 ms :D ...you've got nuthin' to worry about ;)

    (Obviously, I'm not on Comcast...)
