I think one of the main concepts of pinterest is that popular content will get repinned elsewhere, so good quality media will get shared around.

That's about it! I had some traffic from Pinterest when everybody was talking about it, but now I don't have much.

 

Elvis, while I can see your point, I disagree. There's not only retail products on pinterest, but creative inspiration and idea sharing.

But it is also famous for it's photo sharing service.
