    I'd remove "advertise on this site" as it calls attention that you have ads. Then either make your headings blue to match the adsense title, or make the adsense title black to match what you have in the content headings. Then finally make ad url at the bottom of the adsense ad either black or light gray, but definately not blue.

    To the right. The color of the text in the page is gray and the ads by gooooogle phrase is black. So, it will be very clear in the left side. Try placing it to the right and see.

    Additionally, I would add a vertical link unit right below abstract (e.g. below 9 Ball Movie Review, News, and Synopsis).

    I honestly don't think that your layout is that bad. You just need like 2 or 3 more instances of ads. Use 2 of the 336 sets and throw in an link unit someplace as well as a vertical banner unit down the right side or something.
