    I have a single-page currency site:

    http://www.currencytoday.ca

The site is only meant to quickly tell visitors what the currency rate is (which is much harder to quickly find online than you'd think).

After about 5000 visits, I'm finding:

    1) For Adsense, pretty much no one (0.1%) clicks on the 300x250 big box ad. But I get about 2.5% CTR on the skyscraper. I sort of think this has to do with content placement - people first look at the middle content, then drift right, not left.

    2) On the affiliate links, no one clicks on the link below the video, but the CTR on the fake account is decent - maybe 1%. I'm not really sure why the video ad is so useless, or what other ad units to add.

    Any advice for adding/changing ads?

What about switching the 300x250 column with the content column? That way your ad block will get viewed and clicked.
In any case, don't let it that way because at the moment you're losing money since highest paying ads are displayed in the first adsense block in the html source.
What I would do is try switching content and 300x250, see how the CTR evolves, then if the earnings haven't improved, put the content again in the middle, but simply delete the 300x250 block, so that the 160x600 is the first adsense in the html source.

Also, about the bottom, I'd simply add a 728x90 just below the fake account, that's for people who go to the bottom and might be interested in links. But make sure that this adsense block is really the last one in the html source.

I'm not talking about adding adlink blocks and adsense search, but I'd have done it too.

Thanks - after reading your earlier posts I was thinking of somehow getting the HTML code for the skyscraper in first.

If I swap the content and the 300x250 block, I'm afraid that the clicks will just switch to the 300x250 away from the skyscraper, since my hypothesis is that visitors are just clicking on the first stuff right of the content. Plus two ad blocks next to each other just can't be good.

Where would I put links? Under the header?

yes, having the 300x250 block will probably lower the sky crapper CTR, but what is important is 1st the overall page CTR and 2nd that the most clicked adsense block is the first one in html code.

As for the adlinks, there are several ways to display them. Get with your own ideas and then resubmit a post with stats so that I can see it live and think of a better ad placement if there is a possibility.
