Please give me some feedback on how I can improve my blog for adsense

I have had my blog as a hobby for a few years but recently it started earning a bit of money via adsense. Now I am wondering how I can improve my blog in order to earn more and possibly make a living off of my hobby.

Its a tech blog that is almost impossible to get adsense approved for these days as there is already a zillion of them, so providing something unique and not just parroting what is already on those zillion other sites is next to impossible.

 

He already got the adsense there, he is asking how to earn more!
... and nothing is impossible.

@Markus, maybe you should put some more plain-text content on your homepage and use a bit less ads (no matter such). Still less ads in regard of adsense, will increase your CPC.
Also you can try monetizing it via some affiliate programs in addition to Adsense or other ads.

I have tried using envato's affiliate program, but I am new to it. One thing I considered is writing reviews for things like the oculus rift and leap motion. I would then use an affiliate program like amazon or something to try to earn some more revenue I guess

I will do some research in the affiliates section of the forums

 

Very nice site but its very busy for adsense. You really need a lot of traffic to get clicks. Ads in content would help on post like mine.

 

The site looks kind of too busy to me.

1. The running ticker is absolutely not necessary. It's a thing of the past.
2. Everything seems to be underlined. Why? Especially in the navigation. It almost looks like somebody forgot to place "text-decoration: none;" somewhere in the CSS.
3. Change all your AdSense image ads to text ads only. Banner ads make WAY less compared to text ads. I understand the site may not look all that pretty without banner ads, but you will definitely make more with text ads.

 

There are a LOT of links there. If I was a visitor, I'd be too confused and click out. To make more rev, you need people to stay on your site longer. I would try mixing links, video and text for variety and to make your blog look more inviting.

 

your website template/theme layout should be friendly with adsense . Ad beside the post works for me but not below the post .

 

When you are using ads, don't you want the user to click out? I mean if you are in it for the money

 

The blog looks way better now. Really great improvements. Thank you for listening to our input. It always strikes me funny when someone asks to give suggestions regarding their blog or site and then he/she does nothing about it, even after receiving some valuable feedback. So, my hat's off to you for making your blog look so much more user friendly.

 

Just continue your blogging such as your business post publish timely like in April make 15 post may 15 post. don't make mistake such as April 15 post in may 4 post its down your adsense earning. By the really nice which contain unique content i want to follow your blog post.
