    Hi,

I need some advice as how to best place my ads on this page:

    http://www.docx2doc.com/

In particular, I would like comments on the "button" (125x125) which becomes visible only after a successful conversion.

Should I "hide" the download link within a lot of ads so that users are most likely to click an ad before they discover the download link, or should I make the download link even more visible - and hope that users will also click an ad when they feel like it....?

If you don't have Word 2007 - download

    http://www.docx2doc.com/test.docx

and then follow the 1-2-3 process to see how my result add becomes visible after a successful conversion.

    Thanks in advance

Ps. I have about 300 unique users pr. 24 hours and the site has only been live for 7 days...total earnings so far: $5,43 USD

Ad layout is ok, maybe better on the left (most languages are written from left to write therefore the left will be a hotter spot than the right).

Aside from that, check your site in forefox: the browse button slightly over laps step 2. (specifically * Word 2003.)

Regarding the 125x125 ... this layout might be a problem. Google might consider the ad mislabelled due to the word result above it.

thanks for the advice. I will make the site compatible with firefox and make sure the ads are labelled properly. I have read the guidelines for adsense in detail and as far as I understand now I should *NOT* trick users into clicking my ads by mistake.

Nor should I mix content with ads in such a way that users might click ads without knowing they are ads...is that correct? If that is correct, my "button" (125x125) might be in violation with the rules of adsense as it shows up near my "download document" link

Change "Recommend" to nothing or "Sponsored Links" (or whatever is stated in the policies).

Put the adlink unit above "Free conversion of the new Word 2007 format as a 468x15"...

maybe you don't need the 125x125 or change the page just to show the download link in one column and the ad in another (and doesn't show browse/form select)
