    The placement is ok and goes very well with the general layout of the web site. You might consider adding a vertical link list unit just below your category navigation. Also I think the Adsense block ad the bottom of the first column could be moved further up , just below the movies section is a good place to move it :)

    good looking, all fine now , just one thing if you can put the horizontanl link ad unit right belwo the above menu, i think it will help you to increase you CTR
