Please review and shred my website

Hi all,

Over the last month or so, I have developed http://www.perioddramas.com/ from scratch, and I'm hoping to have the website pay for itself through Google AdSense. Oh, and of course I eventually want to make $10,000,000 per hour like everyone else does.

For some reason, we're getting almost no traffic whatsoever. We've had precisely 1 click in the first month, and then Google decided that it was invalid (I have no idea where it came from), so our earnings are less than spectacular...

We only show up on page 7 of the Google results for "period dramas", and I can't help but think of the sandbox that everyone talks about. Then again, I recently discovered that people are searching for "period drama" (for which we don't seem to appear in the SERPs at all, essentially) about 4 times as often as for "period dramas".

I'd be very grateful for any tips relating to the website design, the AdSense placement, or how to actually get some visitors.
