    The placement is fine but the ads displayed by google were not relevent to the content on the site. For e.g your site is about movies but the ads I saw were for calling cards hence people are not inclined to click on them since it's not related to what they are searching for.

    Looks ok to me. Just change the location around until you find a good placement or maybe you could try add another ad unit somewhere at the far left column to see whether that helps.

    The ad in the header my be too big, your logo overlaps it a bit.
