    Well, at least they can't be missed. On a forum, with repeat users, your CTR will be very low, even with ads placed like this. But if you have a lot of traffic you can still earn a good amount of money.

    I'd only suggest making them slightly smaller, as they could get annoying... or at least removing them for registered forum users

    I recommend you test like crazy. Test every change - locations, size, colors etc. Take advantage of the different channels so you can see what's getting clicked and what needs tweaked.
