I think I've got my adsense placement in the right places. However, I had someone comment on my adsense in my left column menu section as a bit out of place. Thoughts?

Moving the left block down below your menu items would look more professional, but likely have a lower clickthrough rate. Have you considered looking for affiliate shops so you can list equipment for sale and earn a percentage? With a site focused around electronics, you would probably do well with affiliate sales.. or Chitika (see sig).

Thanks. I'm not sure where I'd turn to affl. sales for sound equipment. Chitika looks like a start - any other ideas?

Chitika is good stuff; people with sites related to products, especially electronics, often make more from Chitika than Adsense.

I'm sure there must be some electronics houses with affiliate programs you can use. I usually just google "affiliate keyword" where keyword is a brand name or type of equipment. That will usually turn up some pages selling those products that also offer an affiliate program. Then to really get focused traffic, you'd want to make individual pages about certain products.. target that page with Chitika and also an affiliate link selling the product. Review it, give an overview, etc.
