My immediate reaction was 'where are they?' You have no ads 'above the fold', so only visitors who are bothered to scroll down will see them. Try placing a horizontal block above the first post. I think there's an issue with the size of your header graphic taking up so much valuable screen space.

I agree that the header is way too big, instead of cutting it try resizing it.

Your site links on the top are covered in part, by that flower.

To truly monetizing the site without making it intrusive there should be an adsense block higher up instead of people having to scroll down to see it.

your theme is very nice :)

i think adding a an ads unit or a link unit under your main menu will be a good blending for you

Make all link colors the same as the links of the content.
Change the background color of the vertical link unit exactly as the right menu background color. Use this color code #5E8F1C

The header is big, cos I thought it makes an impact. I made it lil smaller but don't wanna make it any more smaller. Its a theme image but I customized it, the original had a lemon instead of the flower. Good work right!

you cant change Google adsense fonts but you can change yours.

And take a look at sarvpriya.com for ads placement.
May be that will help you in deciding.

I hate the big header, but it works. It tries to steal my eyes from the content, and the battle lands me looking right at your ads.

Thanks... I couldn't have quite put it really that way but even I feel it works. Let me have it around for some time.
And amanpeet thanks for the info but I will keep the font also for some time cos the google ad fonts are really small... but i saw www.mouthshut.com and there the google adsense seems to be having different font. Don't understand that. Anyone has any idea how they managed?

I came to know from a friend that it is for priviledged publishers that google adsense can be customized for fonts etc.
So, giving up that option for the time being today I changed the adsense text and link color to match my page. Now it blends perfectly.
