    Ok, I don't want to discuss content, just a word about adsense placement.
    I don't when I came to website and first what I see - is ad.
    I would do this way.

    The ads placement seems ok to me. The only thing I would test was using a horizontal link unit (instead of the vertical one) below the banner.
