I have an extremely low CTR, but quite a fair amount of ad impressions. Is it just my niche? Or is there a better way to place them to increase my CTR?

    Thanks in advance ;)

The background and text of the ads is too dark, they are seeing the ads by google in white and not bothering, you want to being out the text color of the ads, its close to invisible.

So I should make the ads more visible? But the 'Ads by Google' less visible?

A white background with the white backgrounded adsense with the normal blue that comes with adsense always works best for me. No matter what I can barely see your adsense ads anyway. If you're not willing to change your black background, you'll want to change the background of your adsense to black and then use yellow and green as the text colors. That should improve things some.

Yes the ads more visible but dont try to darken the Ads by google text to the point of not being visible.

Its much better now :) nice color choice, those ads stand out and will hopefully catch peoples attention and make them curious enough to click.

I would like to suggest you please remove 120 X 600 ads instead put 336 x 280 ad just below the title of your body part. Also use some light color as background color.

I think I would either move the search box below the content and match the colors from the site or get rid of it all together. I would also replace the three link units on the left with either a 160X600 or a 120X600. I would add a 728X15 link unit above the logo and a 728X90 below the logo.

I would also use varying color palettes that closely match the sites look and feel.

    Good luck with it.
