This is my blog about endangered animals and global warming.
    http://tinyurl.com/2lzy6h

It's been ranking high in most of the social networks but the clickthrough is really low. AdSense is not paying off as well as I thought.
Could you pls take a look and tell me if the ad placement is ok?

    Thanks a lot!;)

Nice looking, though I'b be carefull about that adsense unit bellow the post title, as it clearly violates adsense TOS.

Ok, I managed to change the placement.
Inserted the banner ads on the first page, between the posts.
    Should I do anything else?

    Just my 2 cent...

Nice site. In fact, very nice.

In my experience, the 468x60 you are using is not the best choice. And using 3 ad units on one page is overkill. You'd be much better off with one correctly placed and sized, than the three you are using now.

You shall of course experiement with this on your own but I suggest you go with the 160x600 skyscraper on the side, done with the right colors and have it not stand out too much.

I have had the best experience with 728x90 myself but seing as that is not possible to fit on your site, my second choice for it would be 160x600 in the top right in your case.

The way you placed your ads between posts kind of separates it from your content. Try using the mighty adsense plugin to place adsense ads wrapped inside your content. It's more effective that way. Also, don't forget to play around with different sizes.

Great Site. Pehaps more of a division between articles using the same brown in the logo. Or all brown background to make the white articles "pop".

Ok, Andersson, I gave it a shot.
Tried to fix the colors to blend in as best as I could.
Also, just left an ad and a link unit on the frontpage.

I had the adsense injection and tried to place it in the content but it messed up my articles.
Does the plugin you recomend work without any issues? I don't want to screw up the text.

A bit better but I think you are still off the target.

In the best of all worlds, I'd go only with the 160x600 and put it top left, aligned with the first article top. (right in the eye catcher top-left spot).

The problem is, you have a gradient background there so that can be tricky.

So, my practical suggestion for you is to try to do the following:

    - Lose the 468x60.
    - Place the160x600 you have in there now at the top right, where you have your Entries RSS and Technorati promo today, possibly below - you fit it in where it looks OK. But not so far down. No one sees it there.
    - Take away ALL rounded corners or regular corners you have on the ads today.
    - If you are not getting monster traffic using the google search unit, lose it. It doesn't fit with your good looking site.

It's important that your site doesn't feel too much of a mess. People are afraid to click anywhere in site that looks spray painted with ads. Just think about how you act when you find an article via Google that has 1-2 injected ads and a thousand link units here, there, and everywhere. It's like walking around in a mine field. You don't want that. Also, it's low class. Your site is NOT low class so don't let your greed fool you into that trap.

In your site, less is more. That goes for advertising as well. One 160x600 is enough. no link units.

The choice is yours to make, of course. Good luck.

Just left the 160x600 and the banner. I think I should try these scheme for a few days and see how it works.
Also removed the border from the 160x600 ad unit and now fits a little bit better.
As far as I'm concerned, the ads are blended ok, not too much, not too little. Thanks a lot for your advice! rep added
