I have adsense on my website for about 10 months. The website is http://www.cstrike.ro and the average pay per click is very low. My CTR is 1.19% and CPM is $0.59. Please give me some ideas how to improve this and why the pay per click is something like 3-4 cents in the most cases. Thanks

I like your ad placements, and the color scheme is excellent. Unfortunately your niche, in general, just doesn't pay that well, thus accounting for the low CPM. Games, humor sites, video sites -- these are all notoriously low CPM themes. I would look into monetizing the site with CPM ad networks (banners) to take advantage of your impressions. You can use them in conjunction with your Adsense and essentially double your earnings.

I appreciate the need to do better but your CTR is a lot better than mine. Looking at your website your ads are well blended, maybe too well blended.

I would try making the ads stand out more but that's going against convention.

Could you give me some hints about "CPM ad networks" please? A link to follow or something where I can read more.

    Thanks

CPM networks means "cost per 1,000" (with the "1,000" being "1,000 impressions" -- i.e. every time your ad refreshes, it counts as an impression). Whereas with Adsense, which is CPC (cost-per-click), you get paid everytime someone clicks, regardless of how many impressions you deliver, with a CPM ad network you get paid regardless if anyone clicks or not, just how many impressions you deliver.

For instance, if Ad Network A offers a CPM rate of 30-cents, they are saying they will pay you 30-cents for every 1,000 impressions you give them.

You can read more about CPM networks, and what kind there are, at the Affiliates Program Forum. What type of CPM ad networks and personal experiences with each one are constantly discussed over there.

I know what CMP means, but I don't see any Google Adsense CPM program in my Adsense account. I also know that Google doesn't accept banners from another company along with its text ads on the same website.
Another possible Issue is that here in Romania, many trusted companies doesn't send the money and I don't want to risk by signing up to an unthrusty small one. Can you advice me?
