Please review my websites? low conversions

I have two websites

and cryptofgore.com/articles

Are the adsense ads in good position or is just that I need more traffic. How should get my website to start earning money? right now both are very low, not even a dollar a day for both put together.

 

The placements should be fine on both. It's your traffic that you should be worried about. 4 and 5 million plus of Alexa rank means that traffic is less.

 

How do you recommend I get traffic,
I tried stumbleupon, digg, ezine articles, search engines, directory submissions, article submissions, and theres only minor visitors.
Do you think the sites have good potential though?

I have checked your site italiatrips for its keywords, well, just a few web pages though. I have found that you are using keywords that have high competition. I don't know (haven't checked the SERPs), but unless you can SUCCESSFULLY fight all those sites on the 1st and 2nd SE result pages that are using those highly competitive keywords, you will not attract much traffic.

For example:

The keywords used on the "Sardinia" page are:
trip advisor, italy, map of italy, rome italy, florence italy, maps italy, detailed map of italy with towns, learn italian in italy, history of italy, recipes from italy, venice italy

Out of them: italy, map of italy, maps italy, rome italy, florence italy, venice italy, detailed map of italy with towns... already have immense competition. Do you rank on the first 2 pages of Google for any of these keywords/keyphrases?

The better options would have been (citing only a few examples here, and considering that you are interested in, for example," "rome italy" keyphrase): Before that, "rome italy" keyword results in more than 8.6 billion SERPs, and your site does not rank in the top 100 SERPs for that keyword.

If you can use the following keywords with matching content and proper SEO, your new keywords can possibly -- surely(!) -- rank your web page on the first or the second page in google.com.

Those new KWs should be (of course, you can/must change your content to match the requirements):
Flights to rome italy, restaurants in rome, rome italy weather, history of rome italy, weather in rome italy...

These keywords have very few competitors, and with the correct SEO, your page can rank on the first page... if not on the top of it! Get to those positions with such keywords. You will see more traffic to that page surely.

I think, this is the general pattern of your website. Make the necessary changes, and it will revive the site and bring in targeted traffic!

Implement these suggestions for about 25 web pages, and your site will become,hopefully, very popular.
