    I recently updated the layout of one of my blog sites (link below)

    Please critique the adsense, CJ and amazon placement if you do not mind and let me know your thoughts.

    Also, I had a black background and recently changed it to white, what are the thoughts on this?

    There are good enough, maybe you can try different colour on the skycrapper ads title and move the skycrapper up(exchange the position between the skycrapper and your link)

    your ad placement is ok; hte same for the white background; you might consider reducing the number of post on a page while increasing the total number of posts.
