    Hello,

    I need your suggestions for shopping cart script which could hold database with more than 1 million products and at the same time do not loose any speed at work.

    Most of shopping carts which I tried was getting very slow after loading 250,000-300,000 products into their database.

    Need your suggestion if you had some experience with shopping cart scripts and that number of products.

    Have you tried interspire's shopping cart I am currently using it and it works very nice.

    Hello,

    I have built a number of shopping cart websites using PHP and Mysql database. I always use my custom shopping cart and it works very nice with more than 500000 records. You can use a custom (self created) shopping cart like me and get going well.

    Custom shopping cart will hold those numbers for sure but its very expensive to develop.

    I installed prestashop at cutgift.com, just for experiment I generate 100,000 items , you can see that prestashop work slow too with that number of items, any rebuild versions of presta shop to increase performance with bigger databases ?

    I tried to install new version of Prestashop where they noticed about some performance improvements but its not even working properly.

    You can use Virtumart ecommerce bundle for Joomla, oscommerce and Zen Cart . But more flexible to use PHP script linking with oracle database, it will be diffcult to develop. Zen Cart is Little Slow, Virtumart Ecommerce Bunlde is is Better I think. See more information blog.dplanetbiz.com
