    Hey all, as title say any of you are playing poker in free time just for fun or extra income ? And if yes what site (i pref: PokerStars)
    and how much you make whats your ratio :)

    I think that you could make money from poker, but earn a living ? This is something almost imposible to do , except by a few individuals.

    I met a French guy travelling who once he found a high speed internet connection would go into a hibernation and play poker for a few days, after which he seemed to return with enough money to last him a few weeks!

    Yeah I play online/live for some extra income. Although it took a lot of dedication to start consistently winning money. You also need to be fairly strong minded in order to deal with the variance.


    It seems like the problem was you were gambling instead of treating it like a business. That said, you cannot deny the fact that poker has become tougher in the last few years.
